I am a highly experienced specialist in Relationships and Sexuality Education (RSE), with over 20 years of experience in primary and post-primary education. Throughout my career, I’ve delivered more than 400 RSE programs in over 65 schools across Ireland, directly impacting over 15,000 students and 10,000 parents. Currently, I conduct an average of 40 RSE programmes annually, provide Parent Information Evening and Workshops, Teacher Training —all tailored to foster a supportive environment for open communication about sexuality.
My qualifications include a Doctorate in Childhood Studies, a Master's with Distinction in Applying Psychology to Education, a B.Sc. in Health Studies (First-Class Honours), and a Diploma in Health Studies. Since 2006, when I began my journey at Queen’s University Belfast, I have focused on the critical aspects of sexuality education, including adolescent behaviour and effective communication strategies for parents.
In addition to my academic credentials, I have extensive practical experience as a certified facilitator for various parenting and sexual health programmes. As a public speaker and advocate for evidence-based RSE, I’ve presented at numerous academic events, emphasizing a collaborative approach that empowers young people with the knowledge and confidence they need for healthy relationships.
I am committed to bridging the gap between schools and families to foster safe, informed environments that promote positive sexual health and decision-making among Ireland’s youth
